There Was a Garden Here…

Lord of the Church,

garden2 We thank you for the many years that Garden of Gethsemane has been a beacon of the truth, a herald of the Gospel, and a respite for those in need of spiritual peace here in Omaha.

We thank you for working through the Means of Grace at 42nd and Fontanelle –

for every soul who was adopted into your family at its font

for every soul that was strengthened through bread and wine at its altar

for every sermon from its pulpit that applied God’s law and gospel to the heart of your people.

Though today is the last day for the trumpet of your truth is to be sounded from within her doors, we pray that you would continue to serve your people with Word and sacrament wherever they may continue worshiping you.

We pray that all of our congregations in Omaha would see the members of Garden of Gethsemane as blessings to their congregations and receive them with open arms. Amen.
